about

We first released New Rules on October 11, 2016 as a comment on the upcoming presidential election. Four years later, as we look on in disbelief, we continue to call for "new rules".

lyrics

(intro) "I got so much trouble on my mind / refuse to lose"/ "6 million ways to die, choose one"

(Inkline - 1st verse) For more than half my life been tryna prove myself / I get up when knocked down if I lose or fail / tryna capture in my art how the bruises felt / and write the next "Loser" or "Lose Yourself" / and while the Bible Belt tools tryna screw themselves / Spend a lifetime or two in Ted Cruz's hell / that's burning flesh, cesspools and booze you smell / while the rebel yell avail quotes truth prevail / there's new rules, and I'm the new sherif in town / and the law's laid down by the underground / grassroots boots march with thunderous sound / and leave the suckas in dust just wonderin "how?" / take a bow as I vow to devour crowds of white supremacy and bigotry without a doubt / no better than the cowards that took the towers out / shut your proud loud mouth, Power's ours now /

(Hook) there's new rules, my crew we refuse to lose while you snooze / 6 million ways to die so you choose / what will you confuse for truth and who's who? / a sick villain's hate and lies is lose-lose

(Joshua - 2nd verse) Sometimes I get tired of the politics/ cause I feel like our voices ain't part of it/ is this really the best choice of people we got to pick/ millions in campaigns and flint folks still sick (They Trying To Kill Us)/ really America this the shit that we deal with/ when you under that poverty level some underprivileged/ I wonder if Hilary still raising the village/ cause the fear of the police is scaring our children/ You never see division until you see religion/ then you pay attention that that's the biggest place we separate/ The first one to graduate up out the family wanna be a doctor but he Can't afford to educate/ Why I never see an EZ money where the rich stay/ don't they need a high interest loan till they pay day/ One on every corner/ and a liquor store between em/ add a lil Caesars/ choices they give to our people/ NEW RULES

(Hook) there's new rules, my crew we refuse to lose while you snooze / 6 million ways to die so you choose / what will you confuse for truth and who's who? / a sick villain's hate and lies is lose-lose
